About This Project

Made for the International Ceramic Festival 2011 in Aberystwyth, Wales UK. Hight 2,4m . The idea is inspired of a festivalsituation ‘short looks on the way to something else’. BUTTERFLY is about fragility, transformation and disappearance. The day after the firing we took the sculpture apart and made piles of the pieces. People were later invited to take some home. Thanks to my international team: Xela from Galicia, Halldor from Iceland, Lu from Venezuela, Tommy from Denmark, Lise from France, Leonor from Portugal and Michael from New Zealand.
